Across time and cultures, people have organized their lives around the rhythms of the seasons. The cycle of the year is marked by eight key points: the solstices, the equinoxes, and the midpoints between them. Sometimes called the Wheel of the Year, this eightfold pattern reflects nature’s cycles of growth, change, death, and renewal. In eventful times, this annual cycle offers a steady rhythm—an invitation to pause, notice, and reconnect with the world around us.

Meditation for the Summer Solstice: Rest, Reflect, Reconnect
Midsummer (one of the many names for this time) holds both brightness and stillness. It’s a time to celebrate peak light, honor clarity where it arises, and pause to appreciate our own inner radiance. Perhaps most importantly, it’s a time for dreaming and slowing down. Despite what productivity culture tells us, rest helps us heal, deepen, and grow.
In this 60-minute gathering, we’ll reflect on the light—within and around us—and explore how rest, clarity, and connection can help us stay grounded amid change. There will be short talks and reflections, guided meditations, time to journal or share, and space to simply be. Feel free to bring something that lifts your spirit: a candle, sunflower, honey, a gold coin or favorite stone—anything that symbolizes warmth, abundance, or joy.
In a world shifting faster than we can process, pausing with others in a supportive space can help us reconnect to what truly matters—not to bypass what’s hard, but to steady and replenish body, mind, heart, and soul.
Suggested fee: $25. If that’s a stretch, pay what you can. If you can offer more, thank you!
